A coated steel pergola with a sheeted bay and an open bay, detailed for salt air.

The terrace faces the sea wind. We used coated steel, a sheeted portion over the dining table and an open portion over the planting. The posts land on pedestals, not on the waterproofing membrane. A gutter returns water to the existing spout.
